Old Man Blues

The lines on my face are getting deeper,

The aches and pains are getting meaner

The wife of my life, is just past her prime but she’s a keeper

And some friends of mine, they’re playing with the grim reaper

CHORUS:

But I’ve got heart, when the girls walk by,

I’ve got a heart, to see the eagles fly

I’ve got heart, when the good guys win,

So don’t play me no violin, I’ve got heart

The pension check is in the mail,

And now I’m learning how to sail

Gardening, instead of partying, I’ve got kale

I used to run with the wolves,

Now I’m chilling with a glass of ale

CHORUS

I’m another day older and that’s the news,

I’ve taken my lumps but I refuse to choose

To be down in the dumps, with the old man blues

CHORUS
